Transgenders in sports for women

The Left are pushing transgenderism in society. One of their latest efforts, is to make society accepting of transgenders in women’s sports. Society must resist the Left’s attempt to frame those who suffer from delusional behavior, as a protected class. Unlike minorities and women, where a legal and moral case can be made that these groups should be treated the same as everyone else, the Left are attempting to sell the notion that not only should transgenders be accepted throughout society, their notions and belief systems should be accepted as well, displacing society’s own, in violation of society’s 1st amendment rights.

This article has the following quotation regarding a judge’s instructions on how to refer to biological male transgender athletes competing in women’s sports:

During an April 16 conference call, District Judge Robert Chatigny chastised the ADF attorneys for referring to the male athletes seeking to compete in the women’s division as “males,” according to a transcript of the call obtained by National Review:

What I’m saying is you must refer to them as “transgender females” rather than as “males.” Again, that’s the more accurate terminology, and I think that it fully protects your client’s legitimate interests. Referring to these individuals as “transgender females” is consistent with science, common practice and perhaps human decency. To refer to them as “males,” period, is not accurate, certainly not as accurate, and I think it’s needlessly provocative. I don’t think that you surrender any legitimate interest or position if you refer to them as transgender females. That is what the case is about. This isn’t a case involving males who have decided that they want to run in girls’ events. This is a case about girls who say that transgender girls should not be allowed to run in girls’ events. So going forward, we will not refer to the proposed intervenors as “males”; understood?

Apart from the fact that the judge’s instructions show him to be biased towards transgender ideology, which should have him be recused, it also shows how the Left try to give legitimacy to mental illness / delusional behavior, in a manner that discriminates against those who are not mentally ill.

What does it matter that a person believes he is something he is objectively not? On what grounds must society accept it? Is it on 1st amendment grounds, where a person is entitled to believe what he wants? What about society’s own 1st amendment rights? Doesn’t society also have a right to believe what it wants, and doesn’t its rights effectively trump the rights of delusional individuals, because it (society) is greater in number? (We call this democracy.) Also, can't it be argued that the 1st amendment rights of society are stronger than those of delusional individuals, because they are consistent with objective reality?

Finally, from a practical standpoint, society cannot function, if it starts accepting as fact, fantasies people have about themselves. If for example, 100 people believed they were the President of the United States, is society obligated to let them take up residence in the White House, and run the country along with the real president, consistent with their delusions? If certain guys believed and declared certain girls to be their girlfriends, are these girls obligated to act consistent with these guys’ beliefs?

I see no grounds for society to accept transgenders’ claims that they must be accepted into women’s sports (or any part of society for that matter) on the grounds that they believe they are something they are objectively not. Also, if the Left truly cared about transgenders, they would do the humane thing of encouraging them to seek out psychological help, so that their thinking becomes realigned with reality. Instead, the Left are exploiting the mentally ill, to propagate notions and politics, that would disrupt the norms of western society, that have been around for hundreds of years.
